Carly Seibald received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from New York University and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Hunter College. She is a New York & Massachusetts State licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA as well as a professional certificate as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).
Carly spent 4 years as Director of Speech-Language at Children’s Academy, an integrated, multidisciplinary K-5th grade school for children with speech and language delays located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. She has owned and operated Social Sprouts for 7 years, providing individual therapy and social skills groups to children in NYC and Upstate NY.
Carly has extensive training and experience in Social Thinking(tm) as well as over 10 years of experience in social skill instruction. She is PROMPT trained and has extensive training in Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) and in Oral-Motor Therapy. Additionaly, Carly is certified in LSVT LOUD, for use with Adult patients with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological conditions. With years of experience in a multi-disciplinary setting, Carly has worked closely with Occupational and Behavioral Therapists to help support patients across developmental domains. Carly has extensive experience evaluating and treating those diagnosed with a variety of impairments including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Global Developmental Delays, Motor-Speech Disorders, Neurological Disorders, Aphasia & TBI, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Cognitive Delays, Receptive & Expressive Language Impairments, Sensory Integration Disorders, Auditory Processing Disorders and Emotional and Behavioral Disorders.
In addition to private practice, Carly works as a supervisor at the Pediatric Development Center; an Early Intervention Agency in Central Berkshire County, MA.
